With the
increasing use of smartphones, our dependability on wi-fi is also increasing. We
use internet for every small purpose right from finding our way in the new city
to saying hi to the friend to banking. The availability of wi-fi is must. But
how do we realize that the wi-fi signal is available by looking at the phone?
A London-based
scientist, Frank Swain has an answer to this question. He has developed software
named Phantom Terrains that will help us identify the presence of any wi-fi
signal through sound. Right now, this software works with the iPhone and a
specially created hearing aid.
